Ingredients

  • 3 cups graham crackers broken into pieces
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup candy pieces optional
  • 1 tsp butter optional, for greasing pan

Method

  1. Prepare a cast iron pan or disposable aluminum pan. Lightly grease with butter to prevent sticking.
  2. Break graham crackers into medium pieces and spread them evenly across the base of the pan.
  3. Add a layer of mini marshmallows, making sure they cover most of the crackers.
  4. Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the marshmallows so every bite has chocolate.
  5. Repeat layering with more graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate chips if desired.
  6. Add candy pieces on top for extra flavor and texture.
  7. Place the pan over a campfire, grill, or stove on medium heat.
  8. Heat for 8 to 10 minutes, or until marshmallows are soft and lightly golden and chocolate is melted.
  9. Rotate the pan slightly during heating to ensure even melting.
  10. Remove from heat carefully and let it cool for 1 to 2 minutes.
  11. Serve warm directly from the pan using a spoon.

Notes

  • Use foil cover to help melt toppings evenly
  • Avoid high heat to prevent burning
  • Best served immediately while warm and gooey
  • Can be made in the oven at 180°C for similar results
  • For make-ahead: prepare, chill, and reheat before serving
