A smooth and creamy mango smoothie recipe made with fresh or frozen mango, milk, and yogurt. This quick and easy drink is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or a refreshing treat.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Servings: 2
Course: Dessert
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c ripe mango fresh or frozen, chopped
  • 1 c milk dairy or non-dairy
  • 1/2 c yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or sugar optional
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional
  • 4-5 ice cubes

Method

  1. Wash, peel, and chop the mango into small cubes, removing the seed.
  2. Add the chopped mango to the blender, followed by milk and yogurt.
  3. Add honey or sugar if using, along with vanilla extract for extra flavor.
  4. Add ice cubes to help chill and thicken the smoothie.
  5. Blend on low speed first, then increase to high speed. Blend for 30 to 60 seconds until smooth.
  6. Stop the blender and scrape down the sides if needed to ensure even blending.
  7. Check the consistency. Add more milk if the smoothie is too thick, or add more mango or ice if it is too thin.
  8. Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness if needed. Blend again briefly.
  9. Pour into glasses and serve immediately while cold and fresh.

Notes

  • Use frozen mango for a thicker and colder smoothie
  • Adjust liquid based on desired consistency
  • Skip sweetener if mango is naturally sweet
