Ingredients
  

For the Lemon Brownies:
  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • Zest of 2 lemons
  • ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
For the Lemon Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon

Method
 

Preheat & Prep
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
Mix the Batter
  1. In a bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  2. Stir in eggs, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
  3. Add flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
Bake
  1. Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Make the Glaze
  1. Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
Cool, Glaze & Serve
  1. Let brownies cool completely before adding the glaze.
  2. Drizzle or spread glaze over the top, then cut into squares.

Notes

  • Let them cool before slicing for clean edges.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temp for 3 days or in the fridge for up to a week.
