Ingredients

  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 340g
  • 4 tbsp salted butter divided (2 tbsp per layer)
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz / 397g , divided
  • ½ cup peanut butter baking chips 85g

Method

  1. Prep pan: Grease an 8x8-inch pan, line with parchment paper leaving an overhang on all sides.
  2. Chocolate layer: Combine chocolate chips, 2 tbsp butter, and 1 cup condensed milk in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth (about 90 seconds).
  3. Peanut butter layer: Combine peanut butter chips, remaining 2 tbsp butter, and remaining condensed milk in a second bowl. Microwave in 30-second bursts until smooth (about 60 seconds).
  4. Swirl: Pour chocolate layer into pan. Spoon peanut butter mixture on top. Swirl with a butter knife.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate at least 2 hours until completely firm.
  6. Slice: Lift out using parchment. Cut into 32 squares.

Notes

  • If layers won’t combine when swirling, microwave the chocolate layer an extra 20–30 seconds before layering
  • Tap the pan on the counter to level the surface after pouring
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature up to 1 week, or refrigerate up to 2 weeks
  • Freeze up to 1 month with parchment between layers
