Ingredients

  • 3 cups 510 g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 can 14 oz / 396 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method

  1. Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.
  2. Combine chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk in a large microwave-safe bowl.
  3. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  5. Pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until fully set.
  7. Lift out using the parchment, transfer to a cutting board, and slice into squares.

Notes

  • Use medium microwave power — high heat can scorch the chocolate.
  • Stir gently between each interval to keep the texture smooth.
  • For cleaner slices, let the fudge sit at room temperature for five minutes before cutting.
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks, or freeze for up to three months.
  • Try dark chocolate chips for a more intense flavor, or milk chocolate for something sweeter.
