Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 2 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 2 tbsp green onions thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp pecans chopped
  • 1 tbsp honey optional

Method

  1. Remove the cream cheese from the refrigerator and allow it to soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Softened cream cheese creates a smooth and creamy base that is easy to spread.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the cranberry sauce, orange juice, orange zest, and honey if using. Stir until the mixture is evenly blended and glossy.
  3. Place the softened cream cheese onto a serving platter or shallow dish. Using an offset spatula or the back of a spoon, spread it into an even layer, creating gentle swirls across the surface.
  4. Spoon the cranberry mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer. Spread carefully to cover the cream cheese while keeping the layers distinct and attractive.
  5. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the cranberry topping. Add the sliced green onions and additional orange zest if desired.
  6. Transfer the dip to the refrigerator and chill for 20 to 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend and the cream cheese to firm slightly.
  7. Serve chilled with crackers, crostini, pita chips, fresh vegetables, or sliced fruit.

Notes

  • Full-fat cream cheese provides the best texture and flavor.
  • Homemade cranberry sauce can be substituted for canned cranberry sauce.
  • Toast the pecans before using for extra flavor.
  • Prepare up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate until serving.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
