Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

  1. Add butter, sugar, cinnamon and salt to a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Stir constantly 3–4 minutes until fully melted and glossy.
  2. Add pecans right away and stir to coat.
  3. Stir 1–2 minutes until pecans are toasted and evenly coated.
  4. Spread onto parchment paper, break apart clumps, and cool completely, about 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Sugar can burn fast once melted, keep stirring and watch closely.
  • If the batch feels clumpy going in, make sure the pecan amount was scaled with the sugar and butter.
  • Nutrition is an estimate calculated from the ingredients and will vary with brands and portion size.
