Ingredients
  

Filling:
  • 5–6 apples fresh peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
Crumble Topping:
  • 1 cup flour all-purpose
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup cold butter cubed
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Optional:
  • oats handful for extra crunch
  • nuts chopped for extra crunch

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Toss chopped apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in a baking dish.
  3. Mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Rub in the cold butter with your fingers until mixture looks crumbly. Stir in oats or nuts if using.
  4. Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and apples are bubbling.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel drizzle.

Notes

  • Mix tart and sweet apples for more flavor.
  • Can be prepped ahead but bake fresh for best texture.
  • Leftovers store in the fridge for 2–3 days; reheat before serving.
